BTS join first lady of South Korea for a special event at NY’s Metropolitan Museum Of Arts

After a powerful speech at the UN General Assembly as special presidential envoys, K-pop sensation BTS has now made it to a special event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York with the South Korean first lady, Kim Jung Sook.
Alongside the South Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hwang Hee, the boyband joined Kim Jung Sook to grant a special artwork to the world-renowned museum from the South Korean government. Check it out here:

Reportedly, the gifted art titled ‘Rhythm of the Give Colour Luster’ is a masterpiece by ace Korean artist Chung Haecho. Further strengthening the ties between the East and West, the event aimed at celebrating the artisans of Korea and what could be better than having BTS for the same.

Meanwhile, post tour of the museum’s collection of Korean art, the BTS leader RM delivered a speech at a private ceremony held in the museum’s rooftop garden. Soompi quoted him, “It’s such an incredible honour and joy to be able to give (the museum) a work by a Korean artist.”

He added “K-culture, such as K-pop, K-dramas, and K-movies, has been gaining prominence in many areas, but many great Korean artists have not yet gained attention abroad. As Special Presidential Envoys for Future Generations and Culture who are representing Korea, we will dutifully work hard to spread awareness of the greatness of Korean culture and its potential.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, BTS’s first collaboration with Coldplay will be out this Friday on September 24. Previously, the groups had dropped an audio teaser featuring lyrics of the single track that has now gone viral!
