BLACKPINK star Rose becomes first female K-Pop star to get 200 million hits for debut solo track 'On The Ground'

BLACKPINK star Rosé is flying high with her solo music career. The star's debut music video 'On The Ground', is racking up views on YouTube and has now crossed the 200 million mark.
According to reports, 'On The Ground' hit the milestone on July 13 at around 3:30 a.m. KST. The music video that dropped online on March 12, 2021, took an estimated 4 months and 13 hours to cross this benchmark.

With this, Rosé is the first Korean female act to achieve 200 million views for a 2021 release.
Rose also became the fastest Korean female soloist to have her music video hit the 100 million mark on YouTube. She achieved this feat a little over a week of its release. The star dethroned her fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie who previously held the record for her solo debut.

According to reports, 'On the Ground' also checked itself into the record books for the highest 24-hour views for a debut music video by a K-pop soloist.

The star, who is currently working on new music in LA, made headlines last week when her second solo music video, 'Gone', also crossed the 100 million mark on July 5.

Meanwhile, as BLINKS around the world get ready to celebrate with BLACKPINK for their upcoming fifth anniversary, YG Entertainment confirmed that fellow band member Lisa will be making her solo debut soon!

Lisa is expected to film the music video for her new song this week that will mark her official debut.
